Ethically Sourced Gemstones
Gemstone Sourcing
All the gemstones in my jewelry pieces are ethically sourced.
What does it mean?
It means the gemstone is extracted from the ground with minimal to no environmental damage.
The miners / workers are not exploited or suffering terrible or unsafe working conditions. This also means no children or underage workers are involved. The miners / workers are paid a fair, living wage. The gemstones are conflict-free, which means the profits don’t fund or fuel wars and violence.
Coloured Gemstones
My coloured gemstone supplier is a women-owned mother-daughter small business based in Montreal. Both mother and daughter are accredited members of the ICA (International Colored Gemstone Association).I’m committed to buying gemstones from trusted small businesses / suppliers who can tell me where they get their gemstones from.
Diamonds
Diamond Quality and GIA
For the diamonds, I use G colour or higher (D,E,F) with VS clarity or higher.Diamonds used in pavé settings do not come with GIA certifications.
For bigger diamonds and custom orders, I work within your budget without compromising diamond quality. I am committed to present you with the best diamond options for your budget.
As a GIA Alumni myself, the only diamond certifications I trust are those of GIA, therefore I will only present you GIA graded diamonds.
GIA certifications will automatically be provided to you with your diamond purchase.
Additionally, I can provide you with a certificate of authenticity for any custom piece with GIA diamonds.
As a small business owner, what I value the most is honesty. I strive to be as transparent as possible in regards to the specifications of the pieces I create. As someone who understands thoroughly luxury, jewelry and gemstones, I am committed to providing you only with the very best.
