Wait, am I actually writing a blog post about why you should buy my jewelry?
Yes. I am.
Why?
We all have doubts when we buy something, right? Specially something new. Something we can’t touch or try on before we buy.
Last year, I spent a lot of time talking (mostly on social media) about Lalou, what I stand for, my jewelry making process etc.
So, I wrote this to kind of summarize everything and help you take the plunge.
I understand that this is my brand, so I am naturally biased. I tried to make this as unbiased as possible so you can make an informed buying decision.
After all, you don’t want to buy something that is not right for you. I don’t want that either. I want super happy customers.
1. Everything bearing the Lalou name is high quality
When I started my brand, the one thing I never wanted to compromise was quality.
You see, I grew up with Cartier being my standard in fine jewelry. Later on in life, working for luxury brands (including jewelry brands) has shaped the way I see, understand and appreciate jewelry. While Lalou is no match to the big jewelry names, I am determined to create pieces that are worth being called “luxury”.
This is something I focus on wholeheartedly every day and in every step of my jewelry making process.
Each person involved in the process is an expert in his/her field. I’ve chosen each of them in a pool of hundred others. Those that I have chosen have decades of experience in jewelry and craftsmanship and contribute to making each piece of jewelry bearing my brand name one of excellent craftsmanship and quality.
Furthermore, in my jewelry making process, there’s a technique that I use (and that a majority of brands do not) that makes a huge difference in the quality of jewelry pieces. What is it? It’s the “lost wax” technique. This is a HUGE secret in the industry that no one will ever tell you about. By using this technique, it allows me to guarantee you consistent high quality in ALL my jewelry pieces.
On top of all this, I personally supervise every step of the process by putting my quality control hat on, to double, triple and quadruple check that everything is top notch before being packed and shipped to you.

4. Proudly Canadian
I have to admit I’ve never really said this out loud. In general, I am not super comfortable telling people where I am from, even though, if you’ve been following me on social media, you can kind of guess. It’s a bit silly, but in this day and age, where everyone gets offended about nothing and everything, I usually like staying quiet and be judged for my jewelry rather than for my origins or place of business. Anyway, the cat’s out of the bag now. So now you know.
What I am most proud of though, it’s that through my dream of making and creating jewelry for all of you lovely ladies (and a few gentlemen), I have been contributing to the growth of small local businesses in the industry. Every artisan and supplier helping me create your beautiful pieces is either a family-owned small business or a woman-owned small business, all based out of Montreal, Canada.
